In collaboration with Regina-based rapper Lynksfr, I directed, produced, shot, edited, and did VFX for the official music video for the song “BET”.

After careful planning, I used Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects to create a highly stylized and energetic video. The heavy use of silhouettes and varying frame rates gives this video a unique feel compared to anything else in the rap genre.

This work was heavily inspired by the music video for “Illegal” by PinkPantheress. Using that as a blueprint, Lynksfr and I worked together to make this video something special. Combining my skills as a director-filmmaker with my knowledge of VFX and animation, I was able to push the visual language of this piece beyond just an ordinary music video into something more visually experimental and innovative.
