Jesse Livingstone
Jesse Livingstone has recently completed a BA in Media, Art, & Performance (Creative Technologies concentration) with Great Distinction along with a Certificate in Animation and a minor in Film Production at the University of Regina. He is a versatile creative designer, and works across animation, graphic design, 3D modelling, film production, creative coding, and digital art.
In his studies, Jesse consistently maintained a very high grade point average, has received numerous academic awards and scholarships, and graduated with Great Distinction. Jesse’s largest project, Urban Echoes, was showcased at the Nuit Blanche Regina art festival and the University of Regina’s CTCH/DES Student Showcase. Another one of Jesse’s projects, Kimetsu Robot Escape, was showcased as part of PLAYGROUND, an exhibition of digital artwork at the Fifth Parallel Gallery at the University of Regina.
Jesse currently works as a freelance animator, designer, and filmmaker. Freelancing has given him the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse array of other artists to create music videos, social media advertisements, and unique pieces of art. He has worked with music artists such as Janelle Osei (i’m in love, huh?), Lo Floe (Find My Shine), and Lynksfr (BET), as well as events such as Sweet Escape Fest. He has also self-published a full mobile game for iOS devices (Kimetsu Robot Escape), and is gearing up to launch his newest game on Steam in October (Urban Echoes).
Whether it be his 3D animation with a unique focus on low-poly and retro video game aesthetics, or his filmmaking with snappy editing, and effective storytelling, Jesse’s work always stands out in the crowd. He thrives in collaborative and team-based environments and has contributed his talents to help many fellow artists realize their creative visions. He has also proven himself to be more than capable handling entire projects independently.
