Trailer for Prototype Version
Kimetsu Robot Escape is a self-published top-down stealth action game available on the iOS app store, created collaboratively between Taiwo Akinwale and myself. The game challenges players to outmaneuver patrolling robots, evade detection, and strategize their escape from a mysterious, futuristic laboratory. The main character, Kimetsu, has no idea how or why they woke up there, but just that they must escape! Players can compete for high scores on the global leaderboard and unlock various cosmetics.
I designed all the 3D assets in Blender, with animations from Mixamo. The game was brought to life through the Unity engine. Leaderboard functionality was provided by DanQZQ’s Leaderboard package. In addition to the game, I created various trailers and promotional materials.
The game’s initial prototype, which was made in just three short weeks, in May of 2024, can be found on itch.io, and played in a web browser.
The prototype was featured at the University of Regina’s Fifth Parallel Gallery as part of the PLAYGROUND exhibition, which was a collection of various exemplary student projects in Creative Technologies and Design. This works inclusion in the exhibition inspired me to revisit it, revitalize it, and port it to mobile devices.
