Janelle Osei - “i’m in love, huh?”

Connecticut-based Independent R&B artist Janelle Osei commissioned me to design playful, cartoony text and visual effects for the music video of her song “i’m in love, huh?”.

Using Adobe After Effects, I crafted vibrant and fun effects that highlighted lyrics and matched the track’s laid-back, romantic energy.

With over 80,000 combined followers on Instagram and YouTube, Janelle’s audience responded overwhelmingly positively. This video and its short-form snippets have accumulated over 75,000 views. The animated elements not only aided the visual storytelling but also enhanced the video’s shareability across social media.

Collaborating closely with Janelle ensured the final product aligned seamlessly with her artistic vision. In addition to the music video, I also did similar VFX on two other short form videos to promote the song.
